Cary Humphries
Central Region Director

Cary is the Central Region Director for the Best Christian Workplaces Institute. Cary provides client services to ministries through the introduction of the BCWI engagement survey and consulting tools and support in action implementation. Helping leaders and their organizations succeed is Cary’s focus.

Prior to joining BCWI Cary served four years as Chief Operating Officer for the Navigators, responsible for administrative support and organizational development. During his time at the Navs Cary worked with BCWI to bring the BCWI Engagement Survey tool and 360 review processes to the organization. Those tools continue in use by the Navigators.

Prior to joining the Navigators, Cary spent 30 years with Cargill Incorporated, a global agriculture leader where he held global sales leadership and general management roles, living on three continents and doing business on five. During his time at Cargill, Cary participated in leading the implementation of engagement and performance review processes and became an advocate for the value that can be added by a helpful look into the mirror.

He and Susan have been married 36 years and have returned to Wichita, Kansas where they lived many of their Cargill years, and where all four of their now disbursed adult children call home. Susan has recently completed law school and has begun the practice of adoption law, with an additional interest in public policy.

Cary serves on Board of Directors for The Navigators and Precept Ministries International.

Cary enjoys exercise of all kinds and baking bread the old fashioned way. He and Susan are active members of Heartland Community Church, PCA, of Wichita Kansas.
